A trip is never easy. It’s supposed to be about relaxation—and if all goes well, it is, while it lasts. But the part involving planning, organizing, packing, and traveling is rarely simple or stress-free for most people. And if you're traveling with kids, this is even more true. Something won’t fit, something unnecessary gets packed, and there’s always something important left behind.
That’s exactly why we designed the Balaton Garden Cottage to make families feel as much at home as possible: with a travel crib, changing table, diaper bin, baby bathtub, bed rail, toys, and coloring books. And we’re happy to accommodate any other special requests you may have.

You probably won’t spend much time in our beautiful, freshly renovated rooms with modern furnishings, but we’ve done everything to ensure both parents and children feel as comfortable as possible. In the parents’ bedroom, a 180 cm wide double bed awaits to offer rest at the end of a long day. Naturally, there is Wi-Fi available so you can relax in the soft bed while browsing the news, checking social media, or watching a movie on the TV.
The second room is primarily furnished for children, but if you're arriving with friends, we're happy to convert it into an adult-friendly space as well. However, if little ones are coming, they’ll find toys, a drawing table, and art supplies to keep them entertained on rainy days or before bedtime (or, let’s be honest, instead of bedtime…).
Beyond swimming
Outdoors—even when you're not splashing around
We’re very proud of our comfortable terrace equipped with sun loungers and garden furniture, as well as our well-maintained garden. It’s the perfect place to relax after a full day by the lake. Under the soft glow of our stylish motion-sensor lights, you can enjoy a glass of wine, have a chat, or play board games in the warm evening air and the peaceful quiet of the suburban surroundings. The garden also offers the possibility for open-fire cooking and grilling!
Clean bed linens and a sufficient number of towels are, of course, part of the standard amenities—almost not worth mentioning these days, just like cutlery, plates, glasses, and cookware. What we do find worth highlighting, however, are the hairdryer and baby care essentials in the bathroom, as well as the dishwasher (with tablets), toaster, electric kettle, coffee machine, built-in microwave, and extractor fan in the kitchen. The windows are equipped with mosquito nets and shutters.
While there is no washing machine, we can arrange laundry, drying, and ironing upon request.
For guests arriving by car, a secure parking area is available free of charge.
